Title: Solace of the Road

Maybe, if he wandered far enough and long enough, just maybe the pain would ease.  Maybe, if he saw enough, he could find something worth stopping for, discover a cause worth dying for.  Maybe, if he met enough people, he could find someone worth loving again, someone who could love him in return, someone who could heal his heart.  Maybe, someday, he could even bear to come home, if this was still home—if anywhere was still home.  Until then, he would just keep moving, hoping to find comfort and seeking forgiveness.  Finding peace in the journey, not the destination.
