Prompt: five times the portable prison cell was used without authorization
1.
“Suzie? How did you get rid of Eugene so fast? Last I saw you, he was following you like a lost puppy.”
“You just have to learn how to talk to people, Owen. Persuade them to do what you want.”
“And you know all about that, do you?”
“I got him to leave me alone, didn’t I?”
“By talking to him?”
“Yep.”
“I don’t believe you.”
“Fine. Remember that portable cell we found last week?”
“Tell me you didn’t. Jack hasn’t cleared that for use. It’s too risky. We don’t even know if it’s safe for humans.”
“We do now.”
2.
“This isn’t working, Jack. We need to go to plan B.”
“This is plan B, Owen.”
“Okay, then we need to regroup. Try something else because this clearly is not working.”
“We can’t retreat without leaving Gwen and Tosh exposed. We’ll just have to be creative…What was that?”
“That, Jack, was plan C. As in cell comma portable.”
“How many times do I have to tell you nothing leaves the hub without my authorization?”
“I just saved the day. Again.”
“First we get this mess cleaned up. Then you and I are going to review the rules. Again.”
“You’re welcome.”
3.
“Sir, may I ask what you’re doing in my archives. Unsupervised?”
“Hey, I was wandering around down here long before you ever started.”
“And from the state I inherited the archives in…”
“Shh…Did you hear something? A metallic sound?”
“Nothing, sir.”
“I’m sure I heard something. We should go investigate. Are you armed?”
“Of course, sir. If you’ll just hold this for me, while I…Oops.”
The small metal item clattered to the floor at Jack’s feet.
“Ianto, get me out of this cell. Now.”
“I’m sure I have the instructions Tosh wrote around here somewhere…”
Anything to keep Lisa safe.
4.
“Tosh? How long did you say the battery on that portable holding cell would last?”
“An hour. Although I should be able to increase that considerably, once I figure out why it keeps shorting out. Why?”
“One hour?”
“Yeah.”
“That gives me an hour—“
“Make that fifty-six minutes, thirty-four seconds,” Ianto calls across the room.
“Right, thank you for clarifying. That’s all the head start I’ve got.”
“What are you talking about?” Tosh asks.
“I need to get out of here. I don’t want to be anywhere near this place when the power winds down and Harkness gets loose.”
5.
“Sir, let me out.”
“Nope, I don’t think I will.”
“Jack. Let. Me. Out. Now.”
“No. This is your own fault, Ianto. If you didn’t keep avoiding me, I wouldn’t have to resort to such drastic measures. We could have done this the easy way, but…”
“When I get out of here I’ll...”
“Tsk, tsk. None of that now. You can plot your revenge later. Until then, you’re stuck in there and we’re going to have a little chat.”
“No.”
“Yes. You can start by telling me exactly what it is you find so atrocious about my manners in bed.”
And One Time it Wasn’t
“Owen, this would be a really good time to use that portable cell. I really don’t want to have to fight this guy.”
“Sorry Jack, don’t have it.”
“What do you mean you don’t have it? You always have it. I tell you not to leave the building with it and you do it anyway. It’s kinda our thing.”
“Not anymore. After the bollocking you gave me last time, I left it safe and secure in the archives.”
“You picked a really inconvenient time to finally start obeying the rules, you know that?”
“Yeah, well, maybe that’s our new thing.”
