Standing on a London street, he considers his timeline.

“Jack, my boy, I need a favor.  Can’t cross my own timeline, but there is a message I need delivered.  I need you to go back.  This was never meant to happen and I need to know ahead of time.  We can rewrite time here.  Save the day.  Everyone can live.  You can have him back.”

As the Doctor runs towards a shop front, Jack steps forward, blocking his path.

“I’m sorry,” Jack says.

A high pitched scream is heard and the Doctor watches stunned as Jack fades out of existence.
